Horsin' Around!

Came across these wonderful old horse show ribbons at an estate sale today. I couldn't resist buying the WHOLE box of them.

They are all from the 40's, 50's,60's, and 70's and are in great shape!


I'm not quite sure what I am going to do with them...but I did decide to part with one and I have it listed on my Etsy shop.

Vintage Oven Caramel Corn Recipe!

Came across this vintage recipe at a recent estate sale and it



sounded so yummy that I wanted to share it!

Oven Caramel Corn Ingredients...




Instructions...
Here are the written ingredients:

15 Cups popped corn

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup butter

1/4 cup light karo

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda


Directions:

Heat oven to 200 degrees. Put popcorn in 2 13" x 9" pans.

In saucepan hear sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt stirring occasionally until bubbly around edges. Continue cooking for 5 minutes.

Remove from hear, stir in soda until foamy.

Pour over corn-stir til well coated.

Bake 1 hour stirring until corn is well coated. If receipe is doubled don't double soda.
